Terms of service
These terms govern your use of screenwritingconsultant.com and the consulting services offered by Matt Tabak ("Matt," "we"). By using the site or booking a service, you agree to them.
1. Services
Matt offers screenplay notes, TV pilot notes, treatment analysis, logline and idea punch-ups, and career, deal and production advice, as described on the services section. Each service includes a live conversation by Zoom or phone. Written notes are available only as a paid add-on.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to book a service.
3. Inquiries and booking
Please start with an inquiry and don't send material unrequested. Unsolicited material will not be read and will be deleted. Material is accepted only after you've booked a service and accepted the submission release.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are listed on the site and are payable in full before work begins. Scripts over the stated page counts are quoted separately.
5. Scheduling, cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund policy For example: full refund if cancelled before reading begins; no refund once reading has started; one free reschedule of the call with 24 hours' notice.
6. What we don't promise
Notes are professional opinions. We don't guarantee any outcome, including a sale, option, placement, representation or job.
7. Not an agent or manager
Matt doesn't act as your agent, manager or producer, and doesn't submit your work to buyers. Legal advice scope
8. Intellectual property
You keep all rights to your material, as set out in the submission release. The content of this website, including text, design and logo, belongs to Matt and may not be copied without permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the fees you paid for the service in question. Counsel to review
10. Governing law

11. Changes
We may update these terms. Changes apply to bookings made after the update date.
